Kennard Hamilton will be entering his second year at Whitney High School as a track head coach.  In his first season as Head Coach, he worked with the sprints and relays and did much of our paperwork.
Hamilton has over 25 years of experience of coaching various youth sports in Germany, Texas and California.  A native of Long Beach, California, he graduated from Long Beach Poly High School where he had standout careers in the sports of track and football at the nationally ranked school.  After graduating high school Hamilton, would enroll in college to further his sports career.  Coach Hamilton decided to take on a bigger adventure by enrolling in the United States Army full-time for 5 years. While in the service the passion of sports came back to him after his honorable discharge, he would made the attempt to return to the two sports he loved growing up, however injury would derail his attempt. This would be the beginning of his career in coaching youth sports.
Hamilton graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies with concentration in Sports Management. Currently his enrolled in the Master’s Degree program at Southern New Hampshire University in Sports Management.
